DARJEELING:
FROM A SMALL TOWN TO THE WORLD’S TEACUP.

Darjeeling is a dream woven between tall mountains and sunlight that lingers softly. Here, the air hums with stories — of generations tending to tea gardens, of melodies carried by the wind, of life unfolding on the foothills.

Perched on the edge of the Himalayas, this little town has poured itself into history – not just through the tea, but through the resilience of the people. From revolutionaries gathering over cups of black tea to perfecting the craft of brewing, Darjeeling has shaped the world’s love for tea in its way.

Its toy train winds through ridges, while Kanchenjunga peeks through the clouds, watching over the town that breathes, moves, and gives the world a taste from the mountains.

LET’S BREW TEA, SHALL WE?

It’s super easy: Scoop, Steep, Sip. That’s it.

Step 1: Scoop a Teaspoon of tea per cup into your teapot.

Step 2: Pour 200ml of hot water (80°C-90°C) over the tea leaves.

Step 3: Cover and steep for 3-5 minutes.

Step 4: Strain, sweeten to taste (optional), Sip, and Savor your perfectly brewed cup, the Kapemai way!

Tip:
You can rebrew the same tea leaves at least two more times. Just increase the brew time slightly with each infusion to keep enjoying their goodness.

Feeling tea-rrific or tea-rrible? Either way, get your KapeMai tea and sip your way to awesome!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How much caffeine does Darjeeling black tea contain?

Darjeeling black tea has about 40-50 mg of caffeine per 200 ml cup. It’s enough to give you a nice energy boost without being too overpowering, making it perfect for those mid-morning or afternoon pick-me-ups.

Can I make iced tea with Darjeeling black tea?

Absolutely! Darjeeling black tea makes a refreshing iced tea. Brew it like usual, let it cool, and pour it over ice. Add a slice of lemon or a drizzle of honey to highlight its floral and fruity notes—it’s a summer favorite!

Can I add milk to Darjeeling black tea?

No, you are not advised to add milk to Darjeeling black tea due to its delicate flavor profile. Darjeeling tea has a light, floral, and fruity character that is best enjoyed on its own. Adding milk can overpower these subtle notes and alter the tea’s intended taste.

Is Darjeeling black tea good for multiple brews?

Yes! If you’re using a high-quality Darjeeling tea  like Kapemai,, you can steep it 2-3 times. Each brew will bring out slightly different flavors, starting strong and becoming lighter and more delicate with each round.

Can I drink Darjeeling black tea daily?

Of course! It’s a healthy choice, packed with antioxidants that are great for your body. Plus, its moderate caffeine levels make it a good option to enjoy throughout the day.

What’s the best way to store Darjeeling black tea?

Keep it in an airtight container away from light, heat, and moisture. This way, your tea stays fresh and flavorful for months.
